The sketch plan pictured above, drafted by Lane Kendig, was completed to aid in securing county zoning approval for the Windrush subdivision. This cluster development includes 50 percent open space and half-acre lots, which provided an equivalent residential density to the county’s one-acre zoning. Adjoining homeowners supported the rezoning because the designed open space protected the character of their neighborhood. The County approved the subdivision.
