Plan and Code Publishing
ZoningPLUS is an internet-based editing and presentation system used for authoring, displaying, and managing all aspects of zoning or land development codes, including display of text, tables, graphics, and zoning maps. Using our 11 years of experience in developing and implementing the computerized zoning ordinance, we have evolved the original code presentation software into an integrated system that far extends the simple concept of publishing a code (or any large document) on the web. ZoningPLUS includes a password protected Maintenance Module for editing, which allows any number of staff members to work on the code simultaneously.
Unlike a traditional word processing document, ZoningPLUS accommodates ordinance or planning documents in a database format, with individual sections indexed for easy searching and browsing. When the code is viewed or edited, only individual sections are retrieved and accessed. This results in speedy navigation, quick searches, and the security of knowing that the code is the most recently adopted – or edited – version.
CompPlanPLUS utilizes the same technology for application to the computerization of planning documents such as comprehensive plans, environmental documents, studies of any type, or any other word processing document. Similar to ZoningPLUS, CompPlanPLUS offers an internet-based system for authorship, presentation, and ongoing management of planning documents. Plus, together, these systems allow seamless integration between documents with electronic cross-referencing, database management, and search and query functions.

Every jurisdiction has its own unique requirements — different text formats, numbering systems, and the like. ZoningPLUS and CompPlanPLUS can be quickly configured to handle the peculiarities of your document and to blend with your jurisdiction's general website. Each staff member that is authorized to edit the document can be assigned his/her unique overline, strikeout, and annotation colors.
Developed by planners to be used by everyone, ZoningPLUS or CompPlanPLUS are totally open systems, meaning that you will not be dependent on us to maintain the system. For example, if you replace or amend your code, you do not need to replace ZoningPLUS — just enter the changes using the Maintenance Module.

Flexible Web Hosting Arrangements
When you implement ZoningPLUS or CompPlanPLUS, KKC can host it on our server and link it to your main website at no cost to you for one year. This arrangement can be extended at a reasonable annual cost. If you wish to host ZoningPLUS or CompPlanPLUS on your own website, we will assist your web staff or Internet service provider in setting it up.
