| Susan Watkins, LEED Green Associate, joined the firm as an Associate Planner following completion of her Master of Urban Planning degree. While earning her MUP at Texas A&M University, she worked on various types of plans with several cities across Texas. She worked with the City of Galveston on several post-Hurricane Ike planning tasks including determining post-disaster demographic conditions, creating a current land use map, and assisting the comprehensive plan committee with various projects to update the 2001 plan. Susan also assisted the City of Sealy in developing a downtown revitalization plan by conducting a market analysis for potential businesses, formulating building façade design recommendations, and compiling and editing the final plan document. Susan interned with the City of Austin Planning and Development Review Department where she facilitated meetings and activities to engage citizens and gather their input for Austin’s new Comprehensive Plan. She is already involved in KKC projects in California, Indiana, Nebraska, South Carolina, and Texas. |
