Zoning^Plus (also known as "Z+") is an Internet-based editing, content management, and presentation system used for authoring, displaying, and managing all aspects of your code of ordinances, zoning ordinance, or any other large document--text, tables, graphics, and maps. Using our 13 years of experience in developing and implementing the Computerized Zoning Ordinance (CZO), we have evolved the original code presentation software into an integrated system that extends far beyond our competitors' concept of simply publishing your e-code (or massive document) on the web. Zoning^Plus includes a password protected Maintenance Module for editing. This allows any number of staff members to work on the code together.

Zoning^Plus accommodates your code or legal document in a database format-with individual sections indexed for easy searching and browsing. When you view or edit the code, you only retrieve and access the individual sections you desire. This results in speedy navigation, quick searches, and the security of knowing that the code you are viewing is the exact version you adopted. Never again will you want to work with cumbersome word processing documents--or worry about when the codifiers will have your updates ready!

Unlike the primitive or bloated products of our competitors, Zoning^Plus has been written from start-to-finish for handling codes on the Internet. Any user may access it from a regular web browser. As you would expect, Zoning^Plus includes extensive hyperlinking capabilities--to sections and definitions contained within the code and to external documents.

Zoning^Plus can be configured to display staff comments, code annotations and administrative interpretations for each section of the document. These and other supplementary materials can be restricted for internal, staff-only viewing or can be released for public viewing. Also, Zoning^Plus can be linked section-by-section to individual adopting ordinances, meeting minutes, and other supporting documentation. We even offer a public feedback option that allows citizens to input comments about any selected section of the document--useful during code adoption proceedings.

Every jurisdiction has its own unique requirements-different text formats, numbering systems and the like. Zoning^Plus can be quickly configured to handle the peculiarities of your document and to blend with your jurisdiction's general web site. Each staff member that is authorized to edit the document can be assigned his or her unique overline, strikeout and annotation colors. These colors can be reassigned as your staff changes.

Zoning^Plus is a totally open, collaborative content management system ("CMS"). What this means is that you will not be dependent on us to maintain the system. For example, If you replace or amend your code, you do not need to replace Zoning^Plus --just enter the changes using the Maintenance Module.

Zoning^Plus optionally supports the display and editing of documents in two simultaneous languages, which is ideal for many U.S. and Canadian locations. The Maintenance Module includes dual-display editing and change management features as an aid for translators. We recently implemented Zoning^Plus on an international project where 35 interdisciplinary professionals were simultaneously writing and editing a 1,500 page document in English and Russian, side-by-side with two full-time translators.

When you implement Zoning^Plus, we can host it on our server and link it to your main web site at no cost to you for one year. This arrangement can extended at a nominal annual maintenance cost. Unlike some of our far more expensive competitors, if you wish to host Zoning^Plus on your own web site we will assist your IT staff or your Internet service provider in setting it up.
